SABAP2 Summer Challenge

The project team for SABAP2 encourages all atlasers to make a special effort on behalf of the project during the summer holidays. So for this purpose, we thought we'd sweep the slate clean, and start counting submissions from scratch in a variety of categories from today until the end of the "silly season". There won't be any prizes, except being placed on the roll of honour for contributions to the project over this period.

For the SABAP2 Summer Challenge, from today (ie 4 December 2007) until 28 January 2008, we will count the following:

The total number of checklists you submit
The total number of different pentads from which you submit checklists
The total number of different quarter degree grid cells from which you submit checklists
The total number of checklists you submit for different pentads in the Northern Cape
The most checklists submitted for a single pentad (there is an upper limit of 11, because the period has a total of about 55 days!)
The total number of new pentads you submit data for, where new is defined in relation to the coverage map on the starting date of the challenge, 4 December 2007 (which will always be available at "Summer challenge" on the website)

All the data needs to be submitted by 8 February 2008.
