Free sets are available to bird clubs, provincial nature conservation agencies and similar organisations. Most bird clubs were sent DVD-sets soon after the launch of the project. If your club or organisation does not have a set please contact Doug Harebottle or Tel. 021 650 2330.
Individuals can either obtain copies from their nearest bird club or purchase direct from the ADU at a cost of R50/set (incl. postage & packaging).
To obtain a copy of this set you can pay directly into the following bank account. On receipt of proof of payment (either via email or fax 021 650 3434) we will dispatch the DVD set to your postal address as supplied to us when you registered as an observer. If you would like the package to be sent to another address please let Doug know.

Should you wish to arrange copies of the maps on CDs, please contact Doug as prices will vary dependng on the province selected.
On the Gap analysis map, click on a selected one-degree block. This will bring up a table of all the pentads in this block. To the left of the pentad code you will notice a map icon. If you click on this icon, a Google Map for this pentad will open. The red 'square' indicates the pentad boundaries. You can then select if you would like the satellite imagery as a background or a hybrid between the map and the satellite image. The hybrid is probably the best option. An example is shown below.
To print the map, go to File --> Print Preview. Once the image has finished loading into the Print Preview page make sure you that you can see the image and then click on Print.
